Forgiveness 1

Salaam All

"Turn to forgiveness & enjoin good and turn aside from the ignorant (7:199)".

The first ten nights of the Gift of Mercy are finished. We have entered the second ten. God's GIFT of Special Forgiveness is laid out on Heaven's banquet table. Don't be shy...take as much as you want. There's enough for all of humanity. Unlike the limited tables of man which gets emptied as we take...the Divine Table of God is infinite and continually replenished.

Hell is a never-ending desert...filled with the unforgiving & the unforgiven.
Heaven is a never-ending oasis...filled with the forgiven.

God is FORGIVING...every human being knows that. But to be forgiven by God we have to show forgiveness to one another.
Islam speaks about two aspects of forgiveness: a) God's forgiveness; b) Human forgiveness. We need both, because we do wrong in our relations to God as well as in our relations to each other.

Forgiveness is the only way we have to change the past or at least our perception of the past. The past is the stake that holds the ropes that bind us to it, and stop us from becoming a future unhindered by the past and open to unlimited possibility.

Every human being has an innate desire to be free and to self-express. However, as we begin the process of growing up and fully developing ourselves, the very human process of being wrong, being made wrong, or thinking we are wrong (even if we aren’t),begins to pile up as burdens of judgment and condemnation. We collect a multitude of implied and imposed sins for which we need to forgive or to be forgiven for.

If we live our lives without forgiveness, we will continue to suffer. We will live with the anger and frustrations of judgment, or the self loathing of condemnation. Tied forever to the past and unable to move beyond where we are.

Forgiveness is the only pathway to true freedom. Only when we have consciously freed ourselves from those bindings of the past, can we open ourselves to the future and its endless possibilities. The real result of forgiveness, is an experience of freedom. We recognize it when we are living in a place where we do not give harmful meaning to our experience of the actions of life, or of other people, towards us.

Shamal...It's not difficult to say "My God please forgive me"...these words causes a Heavenly Fragrant Shower to wash your soul, spirit, heart & mind (these unseen elements of the human are the real & true YOU). See how sweet you smell now. Now go...and forgive others.
